Homemade Sloppy Joes
What family doesn't love a good sloppy joe night? This beef mixture is SO MUCH BETTER than Manwich or any canned version. The sauce has a hint of sweetness and is packed with flavor. We love to toast our buns under the broiler first so they don't get soggy from the sloppy joe meat. My son and husband love a slice of cheese on theirs too. We often have sloppy joes with tater tots to get that Napolean Dynamite vibe.
Big Mac Sloppy Joes
This sloppy joe recipe is the sloppiest there is, but oh so good! With all the flavors of a McDonald's Big Mac, including the secret sauce, piled high just like the original. Do you remember the jingle? "Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun! "Yep, it's all here, and the whole family is going to love it.
Pepperoncini Beef Sandwiches
Do you love sandwiches that require minimal effort, but taste like restaurant quality? These are exactly that! The beef cooks with a jar of pepperoncini's and garlic all day, you shred it, and serve it on toasted buns with melted Swiss cheese and mayo..... oh my! It's so delicious and I've never met anyone who didn't love it. It's a great dinner to serve a crowd, and goes with any of your favorite sides!
French Dip Sandwiches
This is a great meal for a busy day because it cooks all day in a slow cooker. We love to eat it on Sundays because I can get the roast cooking in the morning, then it takes about 30 minutes to prepare the rest when you are ready to eat! The recipe is adapted from Our Best Bites (one of my favorite food blogs) and can be made gluten free so easily! Give them a try! Kids of all ages will enjoy "dipping" their sandwiches in the au jus that is naturally made while it cooks.
Chicken Cordon Bleu Grilled Sandwiches
It's easy with kiddos to get stuck in a rut and eat the same things all the time (PB&J, am I right? ). Kids love repetition and definitely have their favorites, as they should, but sometimes it's nice to shake things up a bit..... but just a bit. Kids tend to love grilled cheese, and they love chicken, so this is a fun way to fancy up a grilled sandwich without too much effort. I've been able to sneak these past my pickiest eaters and they love them. And why shouldn't they? These Chicken Cordon Bleu Grilled Sandwiches are so delicious stuffed with shredded rotisserie chicken, prosciutto, and Gruyere cheese, then toasted to perfection with thyme buttered bread slices. We love to eat them for dinner with some yogurt and fruit!
Ham Sliders with Pineapple Cherry Jam
For a fun and fancy meal, give these ham sliders a try. The recipe is from Disney California Adventure Park. These sandwiches were part of a special holiday small bites festival. The jam is the perfect accompaniment to ham and so delicious on these sandwiches. We are also going to be serving it with our Easter ham this year.
