When we go out to eat BBQ at places like Mission BBQ (my favorite! ) I love to get a side of baked beans. I've always been a fan of beans since I was a kid. I love pork and beans, black beans, any chili, refried beans..... you name it, I love it. So needless to say, I was excited to make this recipe. It did not disappoint.

It was a little runny right out of the oven, but thickened as it cooled, and was even more perfect consistency the next day. I had to go buy liquid smoke, but don't skimp on that. It is key to giving it a smoky flavor which is essential for the full experience. No crazy weird ingredients, in fact I already had everything except the liquid smoke. It is so delicious, and I will definitely be coming back to this recipe!
